Weekend at Burnsy's

Yes, it has been a while but writing is Mary's thing and my thing is yet to be determined. I have asked Mary for a hobby for Christmas. She has assured me she's found the perfect hobby for both of us and I can't wait to find out. The entire block is decorated in true Christmas fashion, complete with wreaths and reindeer and all the wintery fun that seems so out of place in 68 degrees. But despite the warm weather it is starting to feel like the Holidays. We haven't got our tree yet, I'm waiting for Mary to get here so we can pick it out together.

As far as work goes, I've moved on from the simulators to the real thing. Thus far I've navigated my way to such notable places as Bayou La Batre, the hometown of Benjamin Bufford Blue, aka Bubba. I've landed at Monreoville, the home of the classic "To Kill A Mockingbird", and I've dined in Acadiana which is renowned in the aviation community for their crawfish etouffe (sp?). Its all going very well and quite more interesting navigation off a radar scope.

But enough of that, I'm sure my readers want to hear about how Jared locked himself out of the house and climbed up on the roof only to discover the windows were locked too. Or how I successfully babysat the 8 month old across the street last night. Or how I had Multi Grain Cheerioes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner the other day. Subsequently, the promise of beer and pizza is how I was bribed into watching a baby in the first place. Well there you have it. Jared is miserable and pathetic without his Mary and hopes the next 5 days pass quickly. I suppose I should end on a positive note.........ah yes, I just got my leave approved so Mary and I will be spending Dec 27th - Jan 2nd in Connecticut for a well deserved mini-holiday vacation. There you have it. To receap, new hobby coming soon, Benjamin Bufford Blue, and New Years in CT.
